Stage Performance Techniques with Blue Canoe

Find out all you need to know about putting your best foot forward on
stage! Whether you want to audition for a local production, act, sing,
perform poetry at your high school talent night, or busk on your street
corner this workshop will give you the tools to make the most out of your
performance and leave your audience wanting more. Participants will learn
about vocal health, projection, stage presence and other performance skills via different activities, exercises, one on one coaching and of course a few games!

This workshop will also feature an optional performance
portion at the end for participants who would like to workshop a particular
piece or number with the instructors.

  • Saturday March 4
  • Saturday April 15
  • Two more sessions , times TBA

Where: Kingston Community House, 99 York Street

Performance Techniques will be taught by Blue Canoe Alumni Ryan Cowl and
Maddy Schaefer Scovil. Ryan and Maddy are Music & Drama Bachelor Degree
holders respectively and are currently completing their Concurrent
Education degrees.
